Kau

When the first Hawaiians migrated north, South Point at the foot of Mauna Loa is likely the first land they saw from their double-hulled voyaging canoes. The Ka'u coastline is truly a majestic sight.

The Ka'u district, which is the southernmost area of the Big Island and the southernmost tip of the U.S, is still a real estate frontier. This is largest district in the State, but the least populated. At its northern boundary lies Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, undeniably volcano goddess Pele’s domain.
