Aloha and welcome to the Big Island of Hawaii.
Born and raised in Connecticut, I moved to Oakland, CA with my husband, Jim, in 1971. We kept moving slowly north to Eureka, where I owned a women's boutique for 13 years. The joy of our life, our daughter Colleen (a recent UH-Manoa graduate) was born in 1990. We moved to Hilo in 1993 and started an Orchid farm (East Hawaii Flower Co.) in 1995, wholesaling cut flowers to the mainland.
Along the way, I discovered that the business of real estate is a perfect fit for me, since I love both people and houses. I became a licensed REALTOR® in 2005 and have since obtained the GRI, ABR and GREEN designations. Another part of being a REALTOR® that I enjoy is the opportunity to give back to the community through projects such as the 2011 REALTOR®'s "Project Playhouse" for Habitat for Humanity, in which I was a participant.
