Most of Kathy's career has been spent in the real estate field: escrow, residential sales, commercial and residential property management, real estate syndication, development and construction. Kathy obtained her real estate sales licenses in 2001 and has been with Clark Realty ever since.
In order to keep up with an ever-changing and demanding field and to provide her clients exceptional service, Kathy attends real estate classes regularly and, as a result, has picked up a few designations along the way, including her Broker's license, the Graduate, Realtor® Institute (GRI), Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), ePro, and Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designations.
Kathy loves being Tutu to her two adorable grand-daughters and visits family on the mainland as often as she can. Hiking, swimming and. especially, gardening keep her busy when not traveling or selling real estate. She volunteers as a driver for the American Cancer Society's 'Road to Recovery,' heads up the cashiers at the Kona Outdoor Circle's annual Pua Plantasia and serves as a Director on the Keauhou Kona Yacht Club's board.
Originally from San Francisco's Bay Area, Kathy moved from Alamo to Healdsburg with her family in 1984, where they built their "dream home" in Sonoma County's Dry Creek Valley. She was studying anthropology at the local university when her husband was transferred by his company to Singapore and they had the good fortune to spend almost 5 years in that wonderful country. When, in 2000, it was time to return to American soil, they stopped over in Kona to visit friends and decided to make the Big Island their home.
Of all the wonderful places she has lived, Kathy says Kona is her favorite. In her opinion, the Aloha Spirit of the Big Island along with one of the world's best climates combines to make this the ideal place to live and work. Today, there is no place on earth Kathy would rather be!
