Aloha! I moved to Hawaii along with my husband and children from Washington State in 1996. I still remember how excited and happy we were to arrive in paradise. Hawaii has it all, including a wonderful environment, culture, and the arts. Some things that matter most in my life are family, integrity and being ecologically mindful to protect our planet.
I attended UCLA to study radiology and worked in the field for about fifteen years. Once our children were in elementary school, I returned to college to pursue a BA in Art History at the University of Washington. Academic credit was granted to me, for a study abroad program in Italy. Seeing the glorious historical art in Italy solidified my passion for the arts. Being able to share this adventure with our children was a tremendous experience I will always treasure.
When I moved to Oahu, I became a docent at the Honolulu Academy of Arts. Almost simultaneously, I had the opportunity to reopen the famed Honolulu Advertiser Gallery. I jumped in wholeheartedly and enjoyed curating, directing exhibits and selling fine art.
We moved to the Big Island in 2011 to be closer to our family. Discovering the Big Island and its raw beauty has been a wonderful adventure. It has a tranquil effect with majestic mountain ranges, sleeping and active volcanoes as well as the endless and bountiful marine life.
