Born and raised in New Mexico, I moved to Maui in 1979 where I met my husband, Bobby. We moved to the Big Island in 1987 and bought property in Puna.
Upon moving from Maui to the Big Island, I established a court reporting agency in Hilo, which I managed for over 20 years. My agency provided state-wide court reporting services and also served clients from the mainland. I got to know the people and communities of the Big Island well as I traveled extensively for my business.
In 2010, I completed my graduate degree and started teaching at the University of Hawaii at Hilo and Hawaii Community College. I have taught reading, writing and English as a Second Language.
My hobby is showing dogs. We have had top winning Anatolians and group-placing Pembroke Welsh Corgis. I have shown Australian Shepherds, Papillons, and Newfoundlands for others, both on the Big Island and Oahu. Ours is a forever home and we currently have older Corgis which keep us very busy. We also have two darling grandsons that live with our son and his wife on the mainland.
Buying or selling real estate can be an emotional and rewarding experience. I bought my first home when I was 18, sparking my lifelong love with real estate. I can remember the feeling I had when I walked through the door—what a mix of emotions! Excitement, expectation—my dreams had come true.
Whether kama’aina or malahini, let’s work together to put my knowledge of the our island communities and real estate to work for you; I am at your service.
