This December marks the 10-year anniversary of the establishment of the Clark Realty Community Fund. Since its inception in 2005, the fund has raised over $175,000 through the generous contributions of Clark Realty agents and staff as well as many of our clients and fellow real estate industry partners. Throughout the past decade, we have been able to play a small but important role in helping several local non-profits expand their reach to our island community.
Earlier this year, Clark Realty’s Community Fund committee selected six organizations from a list of nominees to receive grants that support programs promoting the arts or encouraging healthy living and environmental awareness on Hawaii Island. We are especially pleased to have an opportunity to acknowledge the work that three of our recipients are doing to care for our kupuna, keiki and other residents in times of need on both East and West side of the Big Island. Those groups are:
This year, we are also providing grants to the Orchid Isle Orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra of Kona. In both East and West Hawaii, Clark agents are active supporters of these groups and invite you to join them for upcoming performances.
Our final grant recipient for this year is KARES. This is the second time since the beginning of CRCCF that we have been able to support the wonderful work this organization does to look out for the well-being of island pets and animals in need of foster care and adoption.
As we look forward to the next decade of CRCCF, we are excited to continue supporting local non-profit groups. We will continue to take time out each December to give back to those on the Big Island who are working to make our island an even more beautiful place for us to live, to enjoy the holiday spirit at this time of year and to share the aloha spirit all year-round.
