The Gold Standard of Residential Sales: Achieving the CRS Designation

CRSEvery industry has a gold standard, a measurement of performance, skill, and education that sets those who attain it above the crowd. In real estate, that gold standard is the CRS, or Certified Residential Specialist, designation.

CRS is the highest credential awarded by the National Association of REALTORS® to residential real estate agents, brokers, and managers. It signifies that a real estate agent or broker has attained a certain level of experience, has undergone extensive training in residential sales, and is part of an exclusive referral network. In fact, of the nearly one million REALTORS® in the United States, only 3 percent have earned their CRS certification.

In order to receive the CRS designation, real estate agents and brokers must meet certain professional and educations requirements. This includes having a minimum of 25 transactions or $8 million in transactions, with a minimum of 10 transactions in two years. Agents must also complete 48 credits of coursework specific to residential sales, and an additional 32 credits in elective classes pertaining to real estate. Real estates agents and brokers with a CRS designation are truly experts in their field.

New Clark Realty CRS Designees

Clark Realty Corporation is pleased to announce that three of our agents have recently received the CRS designation joining 15 others of our top producing agents. They are dedicated real estate professionals who are extremely well versed in residential sales on Hawaii Island.

Julie Ching, R(B), works out of our Keauhou office. A consistent top-producing broker, Julie has closed more than $80 million in sales and is incredibly knowledgeable about the Kona and Kohala Coast markets.  Before joining Clark Realty Corporation in 2014, Julie was an agent with Windermere/ C and H Properties.
