In 2014, Kathy Oldfather R(B) facilitated the close of escrow for 38 East Hawaii properties. Kathy, who moved to the Big Island over 30 years ago from land-locked Illinios, thrives in real estate because she enjoys diversity, whether speaking of clients, properties and transactions or of culture and geography. Two years after arriving in Hawaii, Kathy chose to pursue real estate over continuing her medical career so that she could have the pleasure of sharing her Hilo home town and the Big Island lifestyle with others.
When asked about her guiding principles to success, Kathy says, “Pursue your dreams and be passionate in your pursuit. Keep family and loved ones close. Take time for yourself. Stay in touch and don’t forget to take time to smell the roses.”
Kathy raised 3 children in Hilo and enjoys travel, both to visit family and for adventure to distant locales.
