My wife Lauralynn and I are hosting our annual fund-raising event at our home in Kona this Saturday.
This year’s benefit will support the Child and Family Service Domestic Abuse Shelter in Kona, a local shelter for abused partners and their children.
The event will be held Saturday, December 4th from 3 pm to 8 pm and will include nine supporting vendors, including local artists and local businesses featuring locally produced items.
Vendors include: Luana Farm, Hawaii Coconut Candy, Creative Memories, Aloha Kona Kids, Aloha Toe Rings, Park Lane Jewelry and artwork by Alex Gupton, Penny Gupton and Avis Stafford. A portion of the proceeds from each sale will be donated to the shelter–and these are great gift ideas just in time for the holidays!
Lauralynn will be featuring her hand-painted “Bling Bling ” island-inspired Tees for women as well as homemade Indian cuisine products.
There will be a raffle drawing for several donated items including a full-size koa wood paddle, Alex Gupton framed giclee prints and a koa wood bracelet. Raffle ticket prices are $5.00 with 100% of the proceeds going to the shelter. You do not need to be present to win, so contact us for more information if you would like to participate.
Another way to participate is to donate new or used bedding, kitchen supplies, toiletry items, fuel cards, furniture etc…You can bring these items with you to the event or they can be dropped off at the Clark Realty office in the Keauhou Shopping Center.
This is a “women’s only” event! So, ladies, bring your checkbooks and have a wonderful evening under the stars while supporting your community!
