Penny Pagliaro immigrated to Honolulu from the icy Midwest in 1965. With a Bachelor's degree in English from Earlham College and a Master's degree in Education from University of Hawaii, she entered real estate in 1978 after years of teaching, academic counseling, writing and editing.
In 1980, she joined the staff of a major real estate development group in Honolulu and was soon named director of sales and marketing for the company's luxury condominium projects. In 1985, she formed her own commercial real estate company and continued as marketing consultant to major developers and commercial property owners.
In 1995, looking for a change of pace, she relocated to the Big Island and joined the Clark team in 1996 as
Director of the Property Management Division. In 2000, she took over responsibility for Clark Realty's marketing,
a key component of which was the expanded role of the internet in real estate sales. Ms. Pagliaro was among the
first in the nation to receive her ePro designation from the
National Association of Realtors
