The Fairmont Orchid Hotel on the Big Island’s Kohala Coast provided a beautiful backdrop for the North Hawaii Hospice Floating Lantern Ceremony this weekend. Set aside as an evening to share aloha and memories with neighbors and friends, the Floating Lantern Ceremony is a re-creation of the Buddhist Floating Lantern tradition which began in Hawaii 13 years ago in Honolulu.

The Clark Realty – Mauna Lani sales office meets twice a month to tour newly listed properties in the Mauna Lani Resort and occasionally we do a “field trip” outside the resort. This week, our tour featured two Fairways at Mauna Lani townhomes (MLS 243945 and MLS 237071) and a single-family home (MLS 244131) in Champion Ridge.

It was a pleasure for the Clark Realty-Mauna Lani office to offer a home tour for the California American Board of Trial Attorneys earlier this month. We picked them up during a break in the conference and showed several luxury Kohala coast properties, including Kolea at Waikoloa Beach Resort and Hualalai Resort in North Kona.

Twilight at Kalahuipua’a was designed to perpetuate the traditional folk art of storytelling and Hawaiian culture through sharing stories, songs and dance. An evening like this on the Kohala coast is priceless and one of the reasons many people choose to call the Big Island home.
