Humpback Whale Season Begins! First Whale Sighting Reported Off Maui Coast

The first whale sighting of the season in Hawaiian waters was reported yesterday by Captain Chris Howard of the Alii Nui Catamaran and confirmed by Tiffany Thomas, Captain of the Pacific Whale Foundation’s vessel Ocean Explorer. We’ve asked a few of our agents to send in their best photos of humpback whales. The photo above was taken by Steve Hooper, a Kohala coast resident.
