As a Big Island Realtor, one major question that I often hear asked by landowners or potential buyers of Conservation lands is: “Can I build a home on land in a Conservation District?” The answer, usually, is: “Let’s do some research.” Depending on the property, there are many cases where the answer is: “Yes, if you have the patience to work through the approval process.”
