The Gold Standard of Residential Sales: Achieving the CRS Designation 

Every industry has a gold standard, a measurement of performance, skill, and education that sets those who attain it above the crowd. In real estate, that gold standard is the CRS, or Certified Residential Specialist, designation. CRS is the highest credential awarded by the National Association of REALTORS® to residential real estate agents, brokers, and managers. It signifies that a real estate agent or broker has attained a certain level of experience, has undergone extensive training in residential sales, and is part of an exclusive referral network. In fact, of the nearly one million REALTORS® in the United States, only 3 percent have earned their CRS certification. In order to receive the CRS designation, real estate agents and brokers must meet certain professional and educations requirements.
