Score Recap
At last week’s Hawaiian International Billfish Tournament in Kailua-Kona, the Governor’s Trophy and first place went to Kona Game Fishing Club – Kusatsu who finished with 2,129 points.
But, the big story of the final day was the catch made by angler Ted Morikawa and the Out of the Blue team from Waianae (Oahu).
Morikawa boated a 779-pound Pacific blue marlin last Friday and earned his team second place with 1,479 points.

HIBT Home Tour
In between the fishing action out on the water, Big Island real estate brokerages also had an opportunity to show off a few of the homes that are available for sale in North Kona.
Lisa Parker, R(S) of our Kailua-Kona office helped organize a Home & Garden Tour that included stops at two Clark Realty listings.
Homes visited by the tour group included 77-6482 Kali Iki Street in the Kona Sunshine Subdivision and 77-6236-A Mamalahoa Highway in Holualoa.
All Work, No Play?
No way!
Dawn R. Clark, R, GRI, also of our Kailua-Kona office, was part of a team that fished in the annual Huggo’s Wahine Fishing Tournament. She sent in this great photo from the event, which raised funds this year for Family Support Services of West Hawaii.
The theme of the 2010 Wahine Tournament was ‘Hollywood Divas & Legends’ – and Dawn reports that some of the costumes were really over the top! (We did find a YouTube video featuring the festivities and a few minutes of fishing – but, unfortunately, the audio has been disabled. If you decide to watch anyway, the water fight starts at about 4:58 and the fishing about 6 minutes in.)

Competition for a cause - water fights before the Huggo's Wahine Tournament fishing begins
The 52nd Annual Hawaiian International Billfish Tournament is scheduled for July 24–July 30 2011, with fishing days from July 25-29. Visit www.hibtfishing.com for details.
And, Dawn, next year, a photo of you in costume. Please?
