About Ronald Alan Rigg

Ron began his sales career in Hawaii marketing solar hot water systems on Oahu in 1977. Taking up residence on the Big Island in 1983, he began his full time career in real estate three years later. Shortly after, he obtained his broker's license, which he utilized as Principal Broker for RSM, Inc., the oldest real estate company on the Big Island. After working at RSM, Inc. for 15 years, Ron moved to Clark Realty Corporation's Hilo office.

Ron has served as Treasurer for the Hawaii Island Board of Realtors (HIBR) and also as a Chairperson of HIBR's Professional Standards Committee. Ron is a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), a designation of advanced training for real estate professionals. Since 1997, he has attended the CRS annual conference on the mainland where he is able to grow his industry network on a national level.

In order to better assist his clientele with short sales and foreclosures, Ron has also traveled to the mainland and Oahu to obtain the Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) designation. He is committed to continuing his professional education to keep current with today's market. Since the age of 16, Ron has enjoyed motorcycles, riding and cross-country touring. And, come "pau hana" time, you can often find him headed out for a swim. "The beaches and the people here are the best, I feel very lucky to "live Hawaii," he says.
